Design

Each product features unique characteristics, from its recipe to its history, its origins, its company and the values that it is supposed to communicate. Because of this, Huayuan is able to support its Clients from the very beginning of such a delicate process that is the development of a bespoke glass container, so that the unique features of the content perfectly match those of the final container.


Sometimes it is the Client that suggests with a simple sketch the shape he has in mind, sometimes Clients ask for the personalization of an already existing product, some other times it is Huayuan itself that propose a completely new concept based on Clients ideas and expectations.


Our Design Department can provides our Clients full assistance in the design of their special glass container, from hand drawing to the creation of complex 3D models that can support Clients assessments well before the glass sampling. To make design a winning tool rather than just a matter of style.


The Five Steps to Production

1 Defining the brief

Whether we are working from a drawing, a sample of another container, or simply a discussion about your ideas, we work closely with you to understand your exact requirements.
Our design team also tries to explore those requirements further to create concepts that not only fit your initial brief, but also suggests possible options for improvement to aid production and filling.

2. Initial concept

Realising the concept is key. This can be in many forms; an outline drawing, a 3D visualisation or a mock-up - whatever works for you.
A visualisation is most typical, providing a realistic view of what the finished product would look like, complete with label and closure if required.
We can also provide an acrylic, wooden or even a glass model of the container.
Specification Drawing
Once you are happy with the design, a full technical specification is produced for you to formally sign off. Throughout the development, key stages in our business are involved to review and approve the design.

3. Designing the mould equipment

Once you have signed off the container specification, we prepare between 10 – 15 mould equipment drawings, which are approved by our production team, before sending to the mould makers.
Trial mould equipment is then ordered.

4.Sampling the container

Once the trial mould equipment is received and a suitable production slot is confirmed, we manufacture approximately 200 glass samples to ensure that we are happy with the production and that it meets your requirements.
Once they have been checked by our quality department, you then have the opportunity to test the samples down your filling line, label them and check their compatibility with the closure and secondary packing, before giving formal approval to proceed to bulk production.

5.Full scale production

In most cases, part of the bulk mould equipment (the castings) are ordered in advance at the sampling stage to save time. We can also look at other ways to fasttrack the moulds on time-sensitive projects.
Once the equipment has been delivered and we have received authorisation to manufacture from you, we can then proceed with bulk production.
Once the containers have been thoroughly checked by our inspection equipment, they are packed and delivered to your door.
